The Carriage
The carriage is like a conventional lift truck because the lifting attachment could be tilted forwards and backwards from its horizontal. The tilt which is possible on this machine exceeds more than that of the vertical masts. There are different types of available lifting attachments, and this ability to position makes them as effective as possible.
Most telehandlers have the capability of tilting to a position that is actually parallel to the ground. Several units have rotating carriages as well. This allows the operator to adjust the lifting attachment radially. This translates to the load being capable of being tilted forwards and backwards, as well as side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity quite similar to that of the vertical mast model. The model's overall capacity will be dependent on things like: the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable and boom extension and angle, whether the unit is lifting on rubber tires or on outriggers. Additionally, which lifting attachment plays an main role, as does the wind, the grade the equipment is operating on and so forth. All of these specifics could be changing regularly and this gives the operator much more information to take into consideration.
Telehandlers would usually have some different load charts available to them, giving them a good reference they can use to determine a particular lift's load capacity. Depending on the unit in particular and the configuration of the boom, the load capacity could differ by thousands of pounds all together.
