Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Mississippi

Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Mississippi

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks which are used in a wide variety of industries to move heavy materials and products. Forklifts are tough and reliable equipment which are necessary tools in warehouse and construction environments. Forklift models differ depending on the kind of work setting and the type of fuel that is utilized to power the lift truck.

Electricity
Electric forklifts are recommended for work sites which have limited ventilation since they make no exhaust fumes and are relatively quiet. They are designed to be powered by industrial-strength, large batteries. Since the electric lift truck batteries require charging, the worksite should have a charging station. The batteries are durable and could be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they have to be replaced. The charging station should be situated in a ventilated area and include an emergency eyewash station and an acid spill kit.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are commonly utilized in modern industrial operations since propane has some benefits over diesel and electric. Propane models are cleaner to operate compared to diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more than the cost of propane. A lift truck propane tank can be refueled quickly and easily by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Normally an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Gasoline and Gas
For outdoor applications and rough terrain, the diesel and gas forklifts are the equipment of choice. These machinery are quite common in lumber yards and on construction sites. Their disadvantages include odorous exhaust, fairly high fuel costs and relatively high maintenance requirements. Their benefits include a longer lifespan than other units and dependability in tough conditions. Diesel and gasoline units should be refueled at a supply station on site that meets health and safety regulations.
