The narrow aisle forklift has been manufactured to work in narrow storage spaces by increasing the ratio between the space and the aisle width. Yale makes the single reach NR and double reach NDR models that are utilized for aisle widths between eight and ten feet. The Yale Narrow Aisle trucks apply best-in-class ergonomics and provide a Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment that has different stance and control handle configurations.
NDR & NR Productivity Enhancements
Quadra-Flexx Operator Compartment: To meet a wider range of operations, there are many control handle configurations such as the choice of fore, the aft stance, and the side-stance options.
AC Motor Technology: This technology offers strong acceleration and deceleration as well as fast lifting speeds. It has been manufactured for quick plugging so as to facilitate more responsive directional changes which combine to increase the amount of cargo moved during a shift.
Mast & Reach Assembly: The trunion mounting and tapered roller bearings are part of the mast reach assembly. This increases the rigidity and durability of the mast; along with the reach assembly carriage that are reinforced for long life as well as the gusseted rear frame weldment.
Power Lowering: Yale offers industry leading lowering speeds and these uploaded speeds greatly improve the overall throughput and productivity.
Regenerative Lowering: The regenerative lowering is a terrific feature which maintains lower oil operating temperature while reducing battery changes per shift.
Electronic Steering: The electronic steering eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps and thus greatly reduces energy. The steering tiller is adjustable by the operator and the technician can adjust the steer effort in order to decrease operator exhaustion. In the start-up process, drive tire centers automatically start.
Order Selectors: The very narrow aisle trucks and the narrow aisle trucks are also known as order pickers. These equipment are designed for the manual handling of racked loads that are smaller than pallet size. These order selectors raise both the load and the operator to its required height. This height could be in excess of 30 feet. Like most turret trucks they are usually guided by rail or wire when used in very narrow aisle applications.
