Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to transport supplies and products around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump which could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single person.
Pallet trucks must be operated with care in order to avoid loss of control while raising heavy loads. Machine should be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle could smoothly turn. The pallet must be stacked carefully to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.
To be able to lower the forks and release air in the pump, squeeze the lever found on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks should be at the center to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.
Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is dangerous to push the pallet in front of you because the thrust could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
