Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with various other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined places during construction and industrial applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great traction and drive speed. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables provide operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously inaccessible by standard jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature allows over and up reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also offers the Fast Mast system which allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully raised simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features reduces the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing both effectiveness and production.
