Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by various sources. They could run using LP gas or liquid propane, gasoline, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel ideal for numerous uses. There are various facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This allows forklifts to be refueled whenever they need. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders which can be changed out when the equipment needs to be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you should really be careful so as to prevent possible serious injuries. Like for example: be certain to put on the appropriate safety equipment like heavy gloves, goggles or safety glasses. Turn off the forklift ignition before changing out the tank. Then, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is firmly closed. Use your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Don't forget that it would turn in the opposite direction of a standard connection and never utilize any kind of wrench or a metal tool on these connections. They are meant to be tightened by hand only.
