End Control Forklifts
The stand-up end control forklift is an extremely flexible equipment and is popular in the material handling business. These machines have superior performance features that are somewhat like sit-down electric lift truck units.
These lift truck units are great for warehouse environments which have limited space. The space needed to operate these machinery are less than the three-wheel electric forklift truck requirements. These machines are an excellent option for applications that need regular on and off access, because their stand-up design is an excellent feature.
Many companies used a reach truck to maintain their storage facilities. These loading devices could arrange finished goods on pallets and materials to be stacked or stored into tall shelving compartments. The reach truck offers simple and safe retrieval of the loaded pallets. It is also an excellent alternative for those who prefer to store pallets of products they do not need for immediate use in a way which is efficient and safe.
All standard reach truck units will have an out-rigging mechanism secured to the front of the equipment. Telescoping blades are mounted to the out-rigging and can move down and up. The forks additionally have a hydraulic setup which allows the driver to pick up the load and reposition it over the out-riggers. This design not only provides more balance to the whole load, but makes it easier for the reach truck to move between the storage shelves into narrow aisles.
After the reach truck finds the shelves which are selected for the pallet, the hydraulics enable the blades to swing into position and lower the pallet into the shelving, sliding the pallet into position. Normally, a reach truck would easily fit into an aisle which is less than 10 feet wide without any problem, so long as there are no other pallets protruding out from the shelving area.
